The 1015 - Fishers of Men
Monday Jan 30, 2023
Monday Jan 30, 2023
Simon Peter was one of Jesus' first disciples. Over the course of the gospels, the book of Acts, and in two letters written by him, we see Peter be transformed from a brash and impulsive fisherman to a boldly confident follower of Jesus. Peter's two letters are filled with encouraging words to equip the church to be equally bold and confident as they grow in their relationships with God and one another.
This Sunday, we'll be introduced to the person of Peter, reading through various gospel stories, the book of Acts, and other New Testament letters to learn his story.

Opportunities for doing greatly seldom occur—life is made up of infinitesimals” - FW Robertson in his sermon, “The New Commandment of Love.”

It is not a voluntary association, composed of those who have decided to affiliate with others for self-improvement or like belief or fellowship or even service, but a gathering of those ‘called to be holy’ (Romans 1:7).”- Beverly Gaventa
