How does God’s design for work and rest give our lives purpose and shape the way we live? From the beginning, work was part of God’s good design—not a curse or an afterthought. He created us to steward His world, to create, care, and contribute in ways that reflect His glory, giving our lives meaning and direction. Yet God didn’t create us only to work—He also modeled rest. By building rhythms of rest into creation, God reminds us that our value isn’t found in what we produce, but in who we are in Him.
